Boy with Hatchet, Victorian A.M. King General Store Advertising Pocket Mirror

Regular price $28.00

I certainly come across a lot of Victorian trade cards, but much less often an Victorian advertising pocket mirror, and I really like the graphic of little boy in smart outfit and hatchet in hand, I suppose meant to illustrate the variety of clothing and "goods" available at A.M King at 489 Main Street. I haven't been able to track down a record of A.M. King, but I have a vague recollection of coming across a trade card from the same shop, my bet would be Massachusetts, Salem or Boston.  Late 1800s I believe.

2 1/2" in diameter. Mirror in excellent condition, no loss of coating; a few small toning stains to the printed side, I don't think detracting.
