I believe this unusual mid-century Bitossi ceramic vessel once had a stopper and was made to function as a decanter--and a fabulous one I think it would make! One could easily stick a cork or any old stopper in it to use that way, or stick a flower in it and put it at the center of a festive dinner party table--perfect right next to a good bottle of Chianti! Really fun, with great sculptural form mimicking a bunch of grapes and terrific drippy glazing.
It's in terrific condition-- not a flaw that I can see. 8 3/4" tall x 6 1/4" widest; 2 3/4" across at foot and 1 3/8" at lip. Signed Italy and numbered on the bottom.
