Benedict, Basil, Gabriel and Evangline, Fabulous 1897 Folk Art Graphite Drawing

Regular price $95.00

TOTAL delight finding this one near Albany this week...so good! An F.W. Terry rendered this scene on what one imagines was a chilly January evening in 1897--portraying, I have to guess, Benedict and Gabriel deep in a chess match in front the fire, while Basil and Evangline gazed into each other's eye sharing confidences and holding hands in the window seat nearby.  Feels a bit 1970s as well as 1890s! Brilliantly executed down to ever detail, the existence of this makes me deeply happy.

8 7/8" x 5 3/4" and in great condition, graphite on paper.
