I love this one for the depiction of the fallen Jack and Jill, tumbling dramatically done the hill, feeling a bit Alice in Wonderland-y to me. Terrifically rich hand-painted color over the transfer, and then of course I love the lettering on the alphabet marching along the rest of the plate like Victorian carved bone spelling letters, too.
7 3/8" in diameter. Good overall condition, with a couple of rim chips as documented. Stamped Turnstall, England on the underside and impressed with the word "Ivory", c. 1880.
