A beautiful Inuit carving all the way around, of a seal, I believe, feasting on what I presume is a fish dinner. Sensitive carving of the paw-like front flippers, and the wide back flippers curled flat against its body at the rear, and I really love the curve of the line where the seal's body meets the rock upon which it lays. Unusual and lovely.
6 1/8" w x 3 5/8" d x 2 5/8"" t and in very good condition, with some niece veining in the stone from which it was carved. Signed with a disc number on the underside.
