Old Lab Tool Ideally Suited to Be a Bubble Blowing Wand

Found along with some old chemistry lab glass vials, etc, and I believe a tool for mixing chemicals--but it struck me as the perfect wand for dipping in a soapy solution and blowing soap bubbles. And a good wand for just waving around otherwise! Of a nice and substantial weight, with brass handle. 

10 5/8" l x 4" w and in excellent condition.
