Such great graphics on these boxes, I didn't too much care if there were any "Paperex"pencils inside--but happily there are, six black and eight red. With the five different colors in which they were made listed on one side of the box, which opens at the middle, and Paperex scrolled across the other side, in the color of the enclosed pancils. More commonly known as China markers or grease pencils, these are useful for marking all sorts of hard surfaces, and are used by continually peeling back the paper visible at the tops, as needed.
Each box: 7 x 2 1/4 x 15/16. Sold as a pair. Both ends of the red box are open in addition to their opening at center and one end of the black box; I wanted to leave as is but clear archival tape could be used to close them. (I am happy to do if you like, just ask.)
