I've had several sets of these Signal Cards, and I'll continue to snatch them up when I see them as I think they are gorgeous, and also packed with lots of information--and, sadly, it seems knowing how to signal very sorts of distress may become increasingly useful. (There really feels quite a new poignance and urgency to some of the messages on them as I read them now.) The color is bright and saturated and the stock is matte, not glossy, making them to my eye just formally perfect for carrying the fantastic graphics of the flags themselves. These were made to be used as reference, I believe in WWII, and their backsides provide translation and other practical (and also poetic) information. Plus several instructional cards explaining more about the usage of all.
Complete deck in original box. Cards are in good condition; a few light center creases and scattered light smudges/stains. Box shows plenty of wear, with some notes in ink and graphite on the surface and clear tape holding it together. Box measures 3 5/8" x 2 3/8" x 1".
