Yes, everyone covets old primitive boards, but I think this very early ‘90s hand-painted checkerboard makes a pretty strong argument for a more contemporary iteration. Very fun, and quite well done, surely with sponges in hand to create the marbleized effect. And on the back gray felt to keep it for scratching up the table. I might try to find some white marble checkers or chess pieces to play on this one!
18" x 18" x 7/8" and in great condition. The felt on the back is a little worn and stained, no really matter. I shot this in a couple of different lighting conditions which changes the sense of color just a bit but you get the idea!
