Nailed Up Pin Ups, Unusual Old Snapshot Photo

You know I love a photo of a photo, in this case two photos--a pair of pin ups, looking as through carefully clipped out of magazines, and indeed pinned (nailed) up. I love the framing, and the juxtaposition of the two, and also the parallel with antique tintype copies of earlier photos, often showing the earlier photo literally pinned or clipped up. The photo was described by the seller I bought from as showing the interior of a soldier's locker--I'm not sure how they knew that, but makes sense to me. 

4 1/4" x 3" and in good shape with general wear. C. 1940s-50s I believe.
