Arizona Welcomes You, Iconic and Rather Poignant c. 1940s Snapshot

An iconic feeling snapshot of an iconic feeling late 1930s/early 1940s "Arizona Welcomes You" sign, which certainly seems to beg the question now of who the "you" is. One occasionally sees an old snapshot of a tourist or two posing next to this very sign or one similar to it, but void of people and tightly framed this snapshot feels to me particularly poignant in this moment.
