1880s Naive Pennsylvania Graphite Drawing of Woman with Fancy Hair and Lots of Lace

Regular price $70.00

It's the details on this 19th c. graphite drawing, found in PA, that really do it for me....her sphynx-like eyes, and ornate earrings, and all that carefully detailed lace--and especially the very long three fingers of her exposed hand, gesturing as if delivering a secret signal! Plenty aged, with toning and some scattered spotting, an old horizontal fold line down the center, and some loss to the lower left corner, but I think she's wonderful, and might hang her right next to my favorite reading chair. I know from the seller 1880s, as she came from a group of drawings that included a date. I popped the drawing in this nice old frame to keep it safe and stable, and would leave it just as it is.

11 3/8" x 9 1/4" framed, general aging and toning, and loss to bottom left corner as noted above (with matching paper behind that corner loss, such that it not much evident.)
