Pure Americana, Hand-drawn Folk Art Homage to Doc Holliday on Handkerchief, Framed as Found

Regular price $125.00

Not exactly my usual thing, but how could I walk away from this??! Clearly, the life and legacy--or pop culture mythology--of Doc Holliday lived large in the mind if its maker, who I'd say did quite a job paying homage to him here; weaving together a series of scenes portraying the adventure-filled life of the American dentist, gambler, and gunfighter, a friend of Wyatt Earp and probably best known for the shoot out at the O.K Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. You probably know more about the specifics referenced here than I do; for me it's all about the dramatic swirl of horses and bulls, guns and swords, and of course an American flag! (And the central portrait I think make Holliday look a lot like Jacob Elordi of Eurphoria and Saltburn fame.)  Pretty excellent.

Colored pencil on a cotton handkerchief, framed, under glass, brushed metal frame, as found, which suits it fairly well and is in good shape: 16 1/4" x 15 3/4". All in very good condition.
