Ironing and Pressing at the Neptune Valet Shop, c. 1930s Large Snapshot Photo

Regular price $25.00

The small sign propped next to the light at the rear of this laundry identifies it as "The New Home of the Neptune Valet Shop," which I'd guess was affiliated with a hotel called the Neptune, but I haven't identified it for sure. Most of all for me it is about her--best glasses and facial expression ever, which seem perfectly in keeping with the chore of perpetual ironing! Her partner working the presser on a pair of pants near the back looks a bit more enthused. In the rich genre of occupational photos, a fun and very c. 1930s example.

7" x 5",  scattered tiny bumps to the surfaces, really mostly just visible if looking for them, and surface roughness along the left edge/border.
