I've bought and sold a handful of these early Zanesville bowls, and I've also kept several for myself--my favorite matte green glaze in the world, applied to my favorite rounded bowl form. The yellow-orange clay identifies it as Zanesville, Ohio, c. 1910s or so I believe. I think these are perfect for filling with favorite rocks and shells, and also make great planters for succulents or a few narcissus bulbs for the holidays.
6 3/4" in diameter x 2 1/2" t. Very good condition, general wear, no chips or cracks or other issues. Some irregularities to the glaze application, native to it, and characteristic of these.
