I found this one at a wonderful antiques shop in Lancaster County, PA and am quite smitten with it, for the yellow of the paint and especially for the deep red fruit punctuating the rich green vine running across the lid. Just right, and I love how the "berries" at either end are cut in half, as if to mark the edges, while the full at center marks the spot. Very charming, and quite a useful box for holding all sorts of things. With a painted over crate label on one short side.
7 3/4" x 6" x 5 1/2" t and in very good presumed antique condition.
