The more time I spend with this hand carved granite sculpture, the more I admire it; it reveals itself slowly, as one moves around it. The proportions are wonderful, and it is quite a dynamic piece--appearing as a solid, singular form from certain angles, and from others as two boulders, or bodies, leaning against one another with a space between them.
This piece is unsigned. It was purchased from the estate sale of a multi-generational family of artists near Boston, MA. It is of the scale and substance that it would work well both indoors and out, on a tabletop, or in a garden or landscape.
The piece measures 5.15ʺ W × 5ʺ D × 6ʺ H and weighs approximately 8 pounds.
