This circa 1970s Mexican folk art triple vase or triple candleholder--with the most beatific face I can imagine--is unsigned, but comes I believe from the Tonala region in Jalisco and resembles the work of Carlos Villanueva. I love the handle for easy carrying from one spot to another, which only adds to the “may the sun—or moon—shine on you wherever you go” feeling of this piece. I think it would be especially great used as a bedside vase in a guest room, making anyone immediately feel calm and welcomed, though on the kitchen bar or breakfast table it would be pretty great too, smiling "good morning!"
7 1/2” long x 5” tall x 2 1/2” deep; great vintage condition. What appears to be a scratch over one eyebrow I do not believe is damage but rather just an unglazed area original to the piece.
