Circa 1960s, these wonderful wooden folk art "Dala" roosters are a wonderful way to bring a little Swedish tradition and good luck into your home. These were handcrafted by Nils Olson Hemslöjd--located in Nusnäs, Sweden in the province of Dalarna--established in 1928 and known as the "premiere Dala workshop" in Sweden. Dala horses are even more popular Swedish souvenirs, but I especially love the roosters!
The price listed is for one rooster, though there are two available. Each measures 3 1/2" tall x 3" long x 1" wide and has the original Nils Olson sticker on the side. There is a bit of loss of paint in a few spots, as documented in photos, but they are in overall good vintage condition.
