I have seen a few other San Pacific ceramic vases from the 70s-80s,, but none as striking and unusual as this one, with a fabulous all-over triangular relief pattern and drippy green and salmon-colored glaze over cream slip. Best is the pinched edge along one side and almost pitcher-like opening at the corner of the other, giving it a decisive edginess. It feels very early 80s, with a Southwestern flair to boot.
The vase has its original sticker on the bottom reading San Pacific San Francisco, made in Taiwan. It measures 8 1/2" x 6 3/4" x 1 7/8" with an opening of 1 7/8" x 2 1/4", and is in excellent vintage condition.
