I just love these two, and the period in their young lives this photo caotures--students in college, or very recent graduates, working hard to be taken seriously and to start making their ways! Lots of information packed into the image, with a slew of cabinet cards and group photos mounted the wall just above their shared desk--I'd like to think each of them allotted one half of that wall, with each young man's mother, father, and siblings hovering right over their heads! (Reminders to walk the virtuous path!) And each with a pair of boxing gloves hanging there too. Portraits upon portraits adding up to quite a portrait.
