Ruffed Grouse and Bug, Charming Old Bird Lover's Watercolor

A few more this week from a larger set of wonderful old naive watercolors birds, done by someone long ago who clearly loved their birds. With carefully  handwritten in capital letters attributions on each, which I think makes them extra good. And what a beauty this Ruffed Grouse is in its fine plumage, beak open (and tongue exposed) as it stalks its prey! Lovely.
