I purchased these two little baskets separately, but they're both Makah/Nootka, Northwest Coast Native, and I like the formal dynamic between the two--one opening to the sky, the other with a downward angling lid with topple at center. The lidded one will nest inside the other, or the latter turned upside down will make a nice pedestal for the former. The open one is much older, late 19th/early 20th c. I believe; the lidded one 2nd half 20th c.
Open basket: 3 1/4" across at lip x 1 3/4" t. Basket with lid: 2 3/8" d x 2" t. Both in very good condition, with a nice warm patina on the open basket.
