I are pretty sure these are WW era nautical signal flags, though I find identifying flags and their functions a bit confusing! I presume the white cross on red represents Denmark; the white stripes perhaps simply peace/ceasefire, though I'm not completely certain. Whatever the case, I think old flags like these are quite satisfying things to have around, and these two together make for a beauty of a combo. It also seems we may need to be signaling new allegiances and all sorts of things on the horizon.
Red and white: 18" x 14", post 32" long. White: 22" x 14, post 38" l. Some scattered stains, all to the good I think; sturdy and sound and well attached to their posts.
