I have seen images of orange vessels just like these topped with highly stylized pointy lids ending in exaggerated bulbous tips. The design is typically attributed to Aldo Londi for Bitossi, imported by Rosenthal Netter. While these have lost their lids formally, I think they are great without them, and the atomic orange glaze is their perfect match. I love them together and would probably use them as planters--the taller for something leafy and the low one for a few succulents, though it would also make a good serving bowl or catch-all!
Both measure 5" in diameter, with the larger 3 7/8" tall and the shorter 2" tall. They are in good vintage condition, with a couple of tiny knicks in the glaze around the lip, documented in photos.
