A stunner of a small watercolor, making these plumes feel truly as light feathers. Gorgeous. And I love how these feathers read both as stand ins from the diverse flock of birds from which they were plucked, and as a field of language which they might be used to pen. Beautifully detailed, terrific color, and as wispy as can be--indeed, it rather makes one want to speak in whispers in front of it!
6 3/4" x 5 5/8" Very good condition, clean and bright, with cuts to the upper corners as evident. It appears as though the two bottom left feathers were individually cut out and adhered to the paper, perhaps covering earlier versions--original to it I am sure.
