You know I love everything about this--the fraktur lettering, the little arrows and leaves embedded in them, and of course the very Spencerial rendering of the quill pen. But most of all I love the message: embrace the power of the pen! (Which I interpret not just in terms of making beautiful letters, but also writing potent content!) A perfect gift for a writer, I'd say.

6 3/4" x 2 3/8" and in very good condition, second half 19th c. I believe.
