Early Chinese Export Tea Caddy, with (Lovely if Unmatched) Stopper

Regular price $75.00

I believe this Chinese export flask-shaped porcelain tea caddy dates to the 18th century, made to be further decorated, including with a family crest and/or monogram, but never was. Of course I love the minimalist elegance of it as is, with just this pointy-eared heart on either side and a line of orange dots along the bottom edge. The 100% perfect vessel for one pale pink peony, I'd say, or one branch of red berries, or any other sort of small miracle of nature. Found with a blue and white stopper, not original to it but which I think has been with it quite a long time, and which fits it tightly, meaning it would useful for holding tea again--or using as a flask:)

5" t x 3 1/4" x 1 1/2" d and in good condition, no notable chips, cracks or other issues, just some light stains here and there and a bit of residue around the lip, which I have not scrubbed.
