Subtle and Super Atmospheric Old Oil on Canvas Landscape with Fallen Trees

I'm not entirely sure how much the softness of this landscape painting is the product of age, but as it is now it is a subtle and soft and very atmospheric feeling thing, and I love it. With a fallen tree at either side, feeling very much like metaphor, and a play of verticals and horizontals otherwise, rock and cloud of trees. With a big gray sky, almost as if the scene were captured as a wildfire burned nearby, filling the sky with smoke. 

Framed as found, in a well worn antique solid wood frame that I think suits it very well: 12 1/2" x 11 1/2" Oil on canvas painting approx 8" x 7". Good uncleaned condition. Signed and dated at lower right, hard to read, but 19__. Wired on the back for hanging.
