One can never have too many stools I say, making excellent pedestals for arrangements of all sorts of things, or for stacking up to make stool towers--and I love the clean lines and pop of yellow paint on this one. Probably 1940s or so, with the paint almost entirely gone from the flat top, but holding on nicely to the rest of it, with the wear just where it should be. Sturdy, sound, with nice clean lines--this one would be especially nice I think for displaying a few colorful stacking toys, geometric solid blocks, or a small modernist sculpture atop it!
