With their sweet faces, long necks, and wonderful woolen clothes, these worry dolls--Peruvian, I believe--have so much grace and character. Common in Central and South America, worry dolls were traditionally made for children to tell their fears and worries, then put under their pillows, with the idea that the dolls would absorb and carry these worries away. This couple seem very empathetic indeed, and good company to have around whether displayed on a shelf, stood on the bedside table, or placed under the pillow!
Good vintage condition. Approximately 2.5" inches tall.
