As Found, Old Handmade Pincushion with Many Safety Pins

Beauty crops up everywhere if you're looking for it! I found this densely safety-pin-populated, hand-sewn old pin cushion too visually satisfying and resonant feeling to walk away from. (Resonant in the literal sense also, with blue lyres all over the calico fabric!) Feels a bit like a metaphor--a safety raft, a security pillow, etc.--too.

5 7/8" x 4 1/2" not including loop. Good condition, seams tight, no holes other than pin pricks. Sold exactly as found. Nice fading/softening to the color of the fabric on the facing side, brighter on the underside.
