Such a funny, cheery face! It was painted on silk, then very carefully wrapped around a piece of round board, pinned tight along the edges all the way around. It did have a ribbon with a little hanging loop attached to the top, but it immediately crumbled in my hands as soon as I touched it--not too surprising as I'd think this is well over a hundred years old. I think of it kind of like a smiling moon, and might hang it high on the wall to watch over me!
3 3/4" in diameter. Less the lost ribbon, it is in very good condition, with the silk still held very taut all the way around. Easy to pin or stitch a new ribbon or hanger on the back.
