So pretty. I'm forever oggling hand-marbled paper covers on old books, but often less interested in the pages inside! These were once owned by Harvard University (the Museum of Comparative Zoology specifically) and held short published essays inside, but one is now stripped of all of them and the other holds just a couple of pages--making the perfect now to use as portfolios of sorts, or as covers for other things, etc. Hand-marbled paper over hard covers, with lovely cloth spines, each with hand-written titles and dates (1899, 1902.)
10 7/16 x 6 7/8 green spine. 10 1/2 x 7 1/2 cream spine. Sold as a pair. In great antique condition, really lovely.
