This one for me is all about color and pattern, with this great color blocking of tan and (thinly striped) blue and white silk on the face, turned into a drawing with the lyrical application of that red thread. Feels like a poem, and a painting. The hinged face flips up to reveal several fabric "pages" for holding needles underneath, and then room for pins all around the sides. With green silk moire on reverse.
7" t (as hung) x 3 3/8" w x 3/4" d. There is small tear in the silk of the hanging ribbon, such that one needs to be a bit gentle with it, but it is generally sound and stable and really a lovely thing.
