The first word that comes to mind to describe this exquisite little bowl, gorgeously made and I believe quite old, is sumptuous. Or maybe delicious; yum. The white and green glazes are super lush, and the patterns they form (outlined in dark blue and with yellow details) are just perfectly satisfying, running vertically around the outside (looking like bands of hearts or hourglasses) and horizontally across the interior, like rolling hills along horizon lines.
I think this is tin glaze on a red clay body, and possibly Middle Eastern, though I have not been able to find another quite like it and am just not sure. Overall it is in very good condition excepting one small chip on its interior around the rim—quite overshadowed by pure loveliness!
