1876 American Centennial Folk Art Sawing Men Whirligig with a Barrel of Rum Stereoview

Regular price $50.00

I'm always glad to find an antique photograph of a folk art creation, even better in the double, and better yet marking America's Centennial in 1876. Plus there's a keg marked rum sandwiched between these sawing men--one hopes the end of day reward for their labor, but certainly also nodding to the importance of rum to the colonial era economy. With paper flag flying at top that is compositionally just right, and a perfectly unfussy presentation.

6 15/16" x 3 7/16" and in good antique condition, photos cut and mounted to the card, with an unmarked back.
