1870s Seamoss and Seashells Stereoview

Another week, another lovely stereoview, with the pair of albumen photos on this one capturing a bouquet-like arrangement of seashells and seamoss. I can't look at it without thinking of pressed sea moss albums, linked both to the Victorian obsession with the wonders of the natural world and to the liberation of young women from the confines of the parlor! Lovely and delicate feeling.
