I've looked a fair amount but haven't found documentation of another one of these out there anywhere, which I snatched up because I just really love the looks of it--and also the language of its title: "The Guiding Star Marker" or "The Infallible Scorer." (Who doesn't need one of those?) Great graphics, great color scheme, and an excellent yellow printed back providing some further explication about its use and attributing it to M.H Cowell and Co., Buffalo NY, which seems to have produced toys as well. With a copyright date that looks to read 1871 or 74. The solid orange wheel, running 0-100, turns to align as desired with white and orange printed dial., with brass arm at center.
4 5/8" x 4 5/8" x 3/8" and in very good antique condition.
