Another beautiful antique penmanship notebook, because I just can't resist these, and each is its own special thing, this one kept by a Isaac Steere at the Friends School, Providence, RI, 1847. Written with a clear, confident hand in strong black ink all the way through, and with an excellent selection of words, two to four per page, and some great combinations among them. (I'm especially partial to Quadruped Rendezvous, but Matrimony Navigation is pretty great too!) My photos--some of which show rather yellow and also make it appear as if the text on the reverse page shows through more than it does--do no justice - all nice and bright and clear.
7 3/4" x 6 9/16", 12 pages filled front and back, plus printed paper cover. All pages documented, with a few favorites up front. Excellent antique condition.
