Not exactly my usual thing, but I find the beadwork on this, using tiny tiny metallic beads, so fine and lovely I could not resist it, and it feels quite glamorous and transportive. Made in France, c. 1920s I believe, it is a bit delicate to actually use now, and is missing a front closure, but I really like looking at it, and surely there are a variety of ways it could be displayed, or just kept around to serve as inspiration. Clearly it once was used, as there is some darkening/gold loss to the beads around the clasp hole, and a bit of wear on either edge of the top, where a tension bar inside can be pressed open.
4 7/8" w x 4 3/8" t when closed, including fringe. A bit of loss and light wear as documented; stable now just a bit delicate. Inside remains a Made in France label.
