One of two c. late 19th century graphite drawings found together, certainly by the same person and surely pulled from the same sketchbook. I really love the face on this young woman, looking quite confident and wise beyond her years--and also with a certain luxuriousness to her situation, big fluffy pillow under her elbow and book open beside her. A nice one for hanging near one's favorite reading spot.
6 3/8" x 4 1/2" and in very good condition, paper not brittle.
