Very smart, and very fun too, and perfectly embodying the explosion of car travel for pleasure in the 1920s; no surprise that one of these kits features in the collection of the Henry Ford Museum, which dates it to 1925. Great graphics on the front flap, and then inside 12 squares of paper soap (pure "cocoanut" oil, no less) and 12 paper towels, to be pulled out as needed. "Every motorist needs it!" So much that seems quintessentially American rolled up in this, and a great early example of marketing sensibilities that would apex in the 1950s.
